President Magufuli dead at 61 ~ Update

Image
On March 18, I posted this article from Off-Guardian on the death of Tanzania's president, John Magufuli, one of two African leaders who refused to go along with the Covid narrative, and who also died unexpectantly.  The Off-Guardian recently added this update: UPDATE 19/03:  As of this morning (the 19th) Magufuli’s Vice-President has been officially sworn in as his successor. Samia Suluhu Hassan, who was part educated in Britain, is the countries first female President, which the Western press are naturally all over. In her inauguration speech, she called upon the country to  “come together”  and warned this was  “not a time for pointing fingers” , demonstrating she’s aware of how suspicious this transition of power appears, and how tenuous her grip on power will be in these early days of replacing a very popular leader. Remember yesterday when we predicted “glowing write-ups” for Magufuli’s successor? Well, she’s being described as a “conciliator” ...

Autonomous Vehicles Will Automatically Stop For Police, Roll Down Their Windows And Unlock Their Doors

Autonomous Vehicles Will Automatically Stop For Police, Roll Down Their Windows And Unlock Their Doors The National Institute of Justice, the RAND Corporation and the Police Executive Research Forum want to give law enforcement real-time access to autonomous vehicles. Last month, this so-called expert panel identified  17 high-priority law enforcement needs  for autonomous vehicles. And as you can imagine some of them are very disturbing. Cybersecurity and Vehicle Communication Needs: Research on systems to enable law enforcement to identify a vehicle’s authorization to run in automated mode. Research on technology that enables law enforcement to communicate with vehicles in automated mode. Allowing law enforcement access to a vehicle's authorization is just a fancy way of saying they want backdoor access to an owners personal information.  If you thought license plate readers were invasive before, just wait until a year or two from now, when they send officers all...

Children Fined $436, Required to Work it Off at $10/Hour for Missing Online Classes

Tracie Higgins and her son, Mark, at their home in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Children Fined $436, Required to Work it Off at $10/Hour for Missing Online Classes Matt Agorist   Manitowoc, WI — Over the last decade, TFTP has been reporting on the encroachment of the police state into the public education system. As  we previously reported , schools across the country are increasingly hiring police officers to do the job that teachers and guidance counselors once did. This is resulting in the criminalization of childhood as well as increased police violence against children. This tendency of of school systems to rely on the police state has increased in the last 12 months thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the following scenario in Wisconsin shows exactly how bad it’s getting. Because multiple states ignored the science and continue to keep schools closed, millions of children have been and continue...

"The Tyranny of 'Lived Experience': How the woke elites are gaslighting the entire population" by Brendan O'Neill

Image
Thou shalt not disrespect another’s lived experience. On the surface of it, this would appear to be the key commandment of the woke age. A person’s ‘lived experience’ carries an extraordinary amount of moral weight in the 21st century. Public debate is built around it. Policy, increasingly, is shaped by it. Journalism is full of it: column after column about the lived experience of systemic  racism , transphobia, misogyny, mental health. Lived experience is the moral currency of campus life. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve heard student activists recount their ‘lived experiences’ — always oppressive, always tragic — and round furiously on anyone who dares to question said lived experience. ‘Lived experience’ is the great incontestable. No doubt may be expressed about a person’s lived experience. It is the truth and nothing but the truth. We’ve witnessed this over the past few days as people have been demonised, hounded and in some cases even sacked for having had the te...
