When Giants Fall

When Giants Fall James Howard Kunstler It was only a few decades ago that Walmart entered the pantheon of American icons, joining motherhood, apple pie, and baseball on the highest tier of the altar. The people were entranced by this behemoth cornucopia of unbelievably cheap stuff packaged in gargantuan quantities. It was something like their participation trophy for the sheer luck of being born in this exceptional land, or having valiantly clawed their way in from wretched places near and far — where, increasingly, the mighty stream of magically cheap stuff was manufactured. The evolving psychology of Walmart-ism had a strangely self-destructive aura about it. Like cargo cultists waiting on a jungle mountaintop, small town Americans prayed and importuned the gods of commerce to bring them a Walmart. Historians of the future, pan-frying ‘possum cutlets over their campfires, will marvel at the potency of their ancestors’ prayers. Every little burg in the USA eventually saw a

"There's No Longer Any Question That Biden Carried Out A Cover-Up In Ukraine" by Andrew Korybko

21 May 2020 Trump stands vindicated for accusing Biden of trying to cover up his son's corruption in Ukraine after one of that country's lawmakers released audio recordings of the former Vice President's numerous conversations with former President Poroshenko to that effect, proving that the real Ukrainegate scandal has been about the Democrat front-runner all along. Caught Red-Handed Ukrainian lawmaker Andrei Derkach  released audio recordings  that he claims to have received from journalists which convincingly sound as though they're truly of former President Poroshenko's numerous conversations with former Vice President and current Democrat front-runner Biden. The content of their chats concerns the latter's efforts to pressure the then-Ukrainian leader to remove General Prosecutor Shokin, which Trump and many of his surrogates have claimed was undertaken in an attempt to cover up his son Hunter's corruption at the Burisma gas company where he was

"REPORT: EU Planning 'Vaccination Passport' Since 2018" by Kit Knightly

REPORT: EU Planning “Vaccination Passport” Since 2018 May 22, 2020 “Roadmap on Vaccination” outlines 3 year plan for boosting “vaccine confidence” and advancing “electronic tracking” Kit Knightly A report published by the European Commission in late 2019 reveals that the EU has been looking to increase the scope and power of vaccination programmes since well before the current “pandemic”. The endpoint of the Roadmap is, among many other things, to introduce a “common vaccination card/passport” for all EU citizens. This proposal will be appearing before the commission in 2022, with a “feasibility study” set to run from 2019 through 2021 (meaning, as of now, it’s about halfway through). To underline the point: The “vaccination roadmap” is  not  an improvised response to the Covid19 pandemic, but rather an ongoing plan with roots going back to 2018, when the EU released a survey of the public’s attitude toward vaccines titled  “2018 State of Vaccine C

Brainwashing and the New Vocabulary: 12 Words and Phrases I Never Want to Hear Again 84 comments May 21, 2020 Featured Posts     Opinion by Daisy Luther Remember how after September 11th happened, there was that nasty bill that formed the TSA and authorized all sorts of surveillance against the American people and they called it, ironically, The Patriot Act? Of course, we knew then that the bill was anything but patriotic, however, that didn’t stop it from being passed and trampling all over the Constitution. The word “patriot” was perverted by those in power who wanted everyone to fall into lockstep with the unconstitutional searches at airports and many other invasions into our privacy. Which brings us to another word that doesn’t mean what people think it means – it was all done in the name of “security.” If you’ve been watching any type of media coverage or reading articles, you’ve probably seen or heard a plethora of words and phrases which are curre

Thanks to Mensch59 for contributing this article. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Why the New Deal for Nature is a disaster for people and planet Survival International Follow Feb 21  · 13 min read By Stephen Corry, Director of  Survival International Find Stephen on Twitter  @StephenCorrySvl Many conservation schemes that aim to establish wilderness reserves deny the land rights of tribal peoples, who are evicted to the margins of their homelands. © Survival International The conservation industry says 2020 is its “super year.” [1]  It wants to set aside thirty percent of the globe for wildlife, and divert billions of dollars away from reducing climate change and into “natural climate solutions.” [2]  This would be a disaster for people and planet.  Conservation was founded in the racist ideology of 1860s USA but it committed thirty years ago to becoming people-friendly. It hasn’t happened.  There will be more p
