The Blizzard of Bogus Journalism on Covid

Image
The Blizzard of Bogus Journalism on Covid Jeffrey A. Tucker T his game of hunt-and-kill Covid cases has reached peak absurdity, especially in media culture.  Take a look at  Supermarkets are the most common place to catch Covid, new data reveals . It’s a story on a “study” assembled by Public Health England (PHE) from the NHS Test and Trace App. Here is the conclusion. In the six days of November studied, “of those who tested positive, it was found that 18.3 per cent had visited a supermarket.” Now, if the alarm bells don’t go off with that one, you didn’t pay attention to 7th grade science. If the app had also included showering, eating, and breathing, it might have found a 100% correlation. Yes, the people who tested positive probably did shop, as do most people. That doesn’t mean that shopping gives you Covid and it certainly doesn’t mean that shopping kills you.  Even if shopping is a way to get Covid, this is a very widespread and mostly mild virus for 99.8% p...

“'Nazi Satan Death Cults' and other Mass Distractions:" by Joseph Gascoigne

November 18th, 2020 Recently,  Dissident Voice  contributor, the never-compromising class- and labor-blogger,  Michael K. Smith , took on a dragon of the  progressive left whose slaying really seems long overdue. Writing in his typically potent style, Smith hammered out the following: How many times do we need to request a meaningless ‘denunciation’ of white supremacy? We, on what passes for a left, are supposed to be critics of corporate media, so why the dog-like obedience to its idiotic framing on this non-issue?… Let us have no more Southern Poverty Law Center-style ‘studies’ of how right-wing fascists are poised to take over the country, which they’ve been robotically repeating since the 1970s. Non-stories about ‘hate-group terror’ do indeed fill the corporate media—and, yes, a few real ones too. This has been so since the 1980s when sheared, pale youth spewing semi-literate vitriol filled day-time TV on a weekly basis — where did Geraldo/Oprah/Sally Jess...

Lord Malloch Brown Revealed: The British Hand Behind the Coup Shows Its Scales Again

Image
Lord Malloch Brown Revealed: The British Hand Behind the Coup Shows Its Scales Again Matthew Ehret Throughout the four-year drama of Russiagate, the hand of British intelligence has revealed itself continuously. From the obvious role of  Sir Richard Dearlove and his former MI6 underlying Christopher Steele  who together played a driving role in shaping the dodgy dossier, to their involvement with  Oxford Rhodes Scholar Strobe Talbott  in composing, promoting and marketing the fraudulent dossier to targeted members of Congress and media, to British Ambassador Sir Darroch  caught “flooding the zone”  with British intelligence assets to shape Trump’s perception of the world, to the array of British entrapment operations that  targeted Michael Flynn  as early as 2014 in London… wherever one looks, the hand of British intelligence seems to be everywhere. While vast effort is made to downplay the British roots of the deep state by the media which...

The Future Shape of Things

Image
The Future Shape of Things Sebastian Friebel Former parliamentary adviser to the German Bundestag Dear fellow citizens , I am addressing you as a non-partisan former employee of the German Bundestag with the function of a parliamentary adviser. As a result of my work in parliament and in a parliamentary group, I have become aware that the people in our country are being deliberately deprived of information on the corona crisis which is of crucial importance for assessing the situation. In view of the enormous significance of recent events, I consider it my duty to my fellow citizens to raise these issues publicly. So as to be able to express myself as freely as possible on these issues, I have resigned from my position in the Bundestag. I suppose many will lay this text aside after just a few lines because they feel sufficiently informed about all aspects of the crisis. I understand this, because I too used to assumed that, when major events occur, we citizens would always be app...
