Faceless parents, fearsome world: Covid-19 restrictions enact sinister form of child abuse that may destroy entire generation

Faceless parents, fearsome world: Covid-19 restrictions enact sinister form of child abuse that may destroy entire generation Helen Buyniski Draconian Covid-19 control measures are depriving children of the social contact they need to develop mentally and physically into functional adults. Even so, we are told these restrictions protect the vulnerable. Experts have acknowledged that young children returning to in-person classes after a semester or more of lockdowns and isolation will be playing academic catch-up. However, the literature on education’s “ New Normal ” is noticeably light on the psychological ramifications, especially for the group most severely impacted by these measures: very young children and infants whom the Covid-19 response may have barred from reaching critical developmental milestones. Are these kids to be sacrificed on the altar of the Great Reset? After all, it isn’t uneducated mommy-bloggers gaslighting parents into believing they can raise a normal healthy

While the Poor Get Sick, Bill Gates Just Gets Richer

Thanks to Maxwell for recommending this article... While the Poor Get Sick, Bill Gates Just Gets Richer The billionaire’s pandemic investments, like much of his work, remain a secret. By  Tim Schwab I n the early days of the pandemic, President Trump made  headlines  when he reportedly tried to secure rights to a vaccine from German developer CureVac on behalf of the US government—a move that stirred questions about equity and justice. Should the United States get priority access to the Covid vaccine just because we are the world’s wealthiest nation? Shouldn’t the most vulnerable—no matter their nationality or salary—get vaccinated first? “ Capitalism has its limits ,” one German lawmaker noted in a widely reported tweet. Had Trump succeeded, the deal might also have sent another stark message about economic inequality—delivering a financial windfall to one of the most moneyed players in the pandemic response: the Gates Foundation. The foundation recently reported a  $40 million stake

My Resignation From The Intercept

Image
Thanks to Maxwell for recommending another excellent article My Resignation From The Intercept The same trends of repression, censorship and ideological homogeneity plaguing the national press generally have engulfed the media outlet I co-founded, culminating in censorship of my own articles. 1 hr 205 90 Today I sent  my intention to resign from The Intercept, the news outlet I  co-founded in 2013  with Jeremy Scahill and Laura Poitras, as well as from its parent company First Look Media. The final, precipitating cause is that The Intercept’s editors, in violation of my contractual right of editorial freedom, censored an article I wrote this week, refusing to publish it unless I remove all sections critical of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, the candidate vehemently supported by all New-York-based Intercept editors involved in this effort at suppression. The censored article, based on recently revealed emails and witness testimony, raised critical questions about Biden’s
